Presented by Sustaining Architectural Vitality in the Environment (SAVE)
October 6-31, 2007 – EXTENDED THROUGH NOVEMBER 2007!
John Meagher Rotunda Gallery (City Council Office Wall Space)
280 Grove Street, Jersey City, New Jersey
BELOW: Setting up the SAVE table and tent in front of City Hall with Janita, Aaron, Stephanie and Helene on Saturday, October 6, 2007, the first day of the exhibit! SAVE wanted to make sure that tourists exploring the city during the weekend of the annual Artists Studio Tour were made aware of the “Face-Off” exhibit inside. As always, SAVE drew attention to their preservation efforts and captivated the public!
And inside City Hall: “Face-Off: A Battle for Co-Existence,” SAVE’s very first photo exhibit featuring the architectural photography work of SAVE members! The public feedback was extraordinary–and in fact two of the photographers were asked about purchasing rights to some of their photos! Hard work in the field of heritage conservation, SAVE is learning, pays off in many ways, including fundraising for preservation causes…
Back outside: Stacey Castano, one of SAVE’s youngest and most enthusiastic members, on duty at the SAVE table one day after her 9th birthday! Stacey is the younger sibling of SAVE co-founder Stephanie Castano, who learned recently that she has amazing curatorial skills!

Special thanks to PRINT FACILITY JERSEY CITY on Washington Boulevard (at the eastern edges of the threatened Powerhouse Arts District) for providing SAVE with substantial printing support. We appreciate it, Shuja!
